This is Sherlock's other-other cousin, Marc.  Marc is an international correspondent for AFP.  He has won dozens of awards. He has a girl in every port and two in every train station.  He combs his hair when forced and dresses in the first thing he steps on in the morning, or more often, late afternoon. He alone, among the Vernets, shares Sherlock's fondness for being shot at. He's a journalist, so Sherlock hates him on principle.  In reality, Sherlock hates Marc because he's so sodding comfortable is in his own skin.
