"This WWF Malaysia photo shows a long-tailed slug, Ibycus rachelae, that uses "love darts" made of calcium carbonate to pierce and inject a hormone into a mate to increase the chances of reproduction, in an unknown location in the "Heart of Borneo", in a remote area of dense, tropical rainforest that borders Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei."

Oh, heaven's yes! Why I was just discussing calcium carbonate slug darts with a stranger the other day!

It's not that they have darts - it's that they have LOVE darts, baby! Love darts! I think the Cupid myths must be rethought, pronto. (Amanda imagines naked winged gastropods going about their reproductive business, and how much wine you'd have to drink before you thought they were NOT naked winged gastropods. I'm thinking lots.)

And if you people would do something scandalous, as I have requested before, we wouldn't have to think these about these things.
