(It has its charms.  The setting seems lovely.  And I do like the repainted stove. Beyond that?  Um...  )

My husband and I trade magazines with his parents. My MIL sent me the March 2014 issue of Food Network Magazine, which contains, among other things, this recipe:

Your kinda thing?  I still haven't decided.  But the idea of peanut butter whipped cream is not without its appeal.

Do you enjoy growing old or do you fight against it?

Allow me to take a third position.  I don't enjoy it at all, but so far it beats the alternative. But fighting it is pointless. And it's a battle you cannot win. Humans are built to last about 35 years - everything after that is gravy.  Treat it as such.

The only drawback to living in a multi-colored house would be having to repaint it when harsh winters & summers start peeling off the paint. Would be hard to match if a color got discontinued...

True. And I just don't know about the eyes. Bright and cheery is one thing, facial features are another.

Then again, every artist/painter I know CHANGES their living space regularly, so it'd be an opportunity to do something completely different when it's time to repaint.

I could quite happily live in that house with all its colors. My only objection is to the stairway. That's the last place I want to get dizzy! But I'd be happy with a different color for each step. Just not the woozy-making checkerboard effect.
