We celebrated in the now tradttional way, with lobsters and a movie, in this case, The Battle of the Five Armies.

It was awesome.  Really. It did everything it had to do, and did it well. I know people are going to hate on it, but why?  If you didn't know what you were getting after the first five films, you were obviously not paying attention. Your fault, not theirs.

For those of you who have wondered, the hot dwarf remained hot (if not undamaged).

(I don't think he can help it. Hot is as hot does, and whatnot.)

Also, have a terrific 2015!

Hello, yes i am Sweden bound in February! Woo hoo! After keeping me waiting all week I saw my lecturer and she just said 'Oh yes that's fine just let me know what day you want off and i'll make sure you don't miss anything' I'm excited!

BTW did you see the BC photocall pics from the Palm Springs FF? You definitely called that one...Future Mrs C couldn't have looked more pregnant if she'd tried. Shot gun!

We went to see that over the holidays, too! I was really happy with it. Which is saying something, because I thought the second one was one of the worst things I've ever seen, and Kidlet actually counts it as the single worst film he's ever seen in his life (and he LOVES the book and has since he was 5). We enjoyed the first film, even though it wasn't as good as any of the Lord of the Rings. But after the fiasco that was the second, we had very low expectations of the third. We were very pleasantly surprised. There's stuff that we could nitpick, but overall I'm glad I saw it, it was a good way for the series to go out, I think.
