My daughter's car battery went flat this morning and she needed a lift.  She moved over the weekend and when I asked for her address she ... didn't know.  Well, she knew approximately.  Kinda.  In a way.  Sorta. Fun?  Oh yeah.

I had some bananas going black and I didn't want to make banana bread so I made Heavenly Banana Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies.  They are very tasty and I'd make them again, but I think they'd benefit from some peanut butter. As would so many things.

Get Smart was must-watch tv when we were kids, as were the after-school reruns. My mom and especially my dad loved the show. We still quote from it more than probably makes sense considering it went off the air in 1970 - "Not the craw, the craw!" "the Cone of Silence" "Would you believe..." ) A couple of years ago we found the first season on DVD, and, yeah it hasn't held up, but there you go. (P.S. I wanted to love the Steve Carrell/Anne Hathaway reboot, but no. No no no. No.)

I lurved Get Smart as a kid, but you're right, reruns don't hold up that well, except in small doses. Still kinda want a shoe phone, though.

My dad got bored with our X-Files rewatch at the end of season five so we switched to Get Smart. It's still pretty funny!

Funny, yes, but so different! Everyone smoking and drinking and not having glo-in-the-dark teeth! It was a different era.
