Nablopomo 2017 - Day 3

LJ and dreamwidth keep telling me today is zinnia03's birthday. It's a sad reminder we lost her just a few weeks ago. I didn't know her well, but she always seemed to be one of the 'nice' people in the XF fandom (as opposed to the markedly NOT NICE people.)

It was beautiful today - sunny and about 11C, so I spent about two hours tidying the garden. I cut down oh so much mint, harvested the last of the tomatillos, and gathered up the last of the tomatoes. Here's a picture of the flower that was supposed to bloom for July 1st (part of the Canada150 collection, obviously) but November 3rd is good, too.

 

Anybody want to guess what kind of flower it is?  Anyone?  Anyone?  Bueller?

Okay, well, we'll come back to this one.  Now Cyril's Cereal Superstore has Ryce Checkies on for 3 cents less, let me call the ad up...oh, it's loading slow, too. Hang on, because I think Marty's Maximum Meat Market has these sausages on for 0.78987 cents less..."

If this is you, stop.  I will mail you the 8 cents, just so I don't have to stand in line behind you willing myself not to break your phone. Or your arm.

The MacGyver reboot is on.  It's terrible. It's always been  terrible.  Now it's terrible with bonus actress who speaks something similar to, but nothing like, English.  She should also eat a cookie.

So they've identified a 'new' species of orangutan. Based on hardly any evidence at all.  I remain skeptical.

Is it a dahlia?

I've been thinking about ML since I found out she had cancer. I didn't know her well but I did beta a long fic for her. I might have done that fic more harm than good, too. I once wrote a fic for her. She wrote a ficlet for me, too, last January, just out of the blue. She was a lovely woman, very kind.

I miss her.

I've never had trouble posting pictures to Dreamwidth.

I liked Robin, too. I tried to reply to your X-OK post, but yahoo won't let me. And, it won't let me into my account. So, screw you, yahoo.

I feel/felt bad about Robin. She really was a nice person.
