Skyfall?

Why is everyone raving about this film?  It was --- okay. Ish.

Is it just that the last film everyone saw was Battleship? Cuz yeah, that would do it.

It wasn't bad, it just wasn't brilliant.

Battleship, on the other hand, was horrendous.

Because EXPLOSIONS is why. And crazy villain. And the M-centricity. And that it turned into Home Alone by the end. And Eva. And EXPLOSIONS.

Or at least that's why I liked it. But I just like Bond movies in general.

Oh, don't get me wrong. It was fun. It had cool stunts. It's just that all the hype made it sound like Citizen Kane meets Casablanca in Chinatown with the Godfather or something. It was a good Bond movie. (As a veteran of of the Roger Moore years, I can appreciate that ;))

(And I kept expecting Eve to call James Victor. Yeah, I'm screwed.)
