Happy Wednesday, or as we say around here, Happy Garbage Day!

Today's prompt is:

6. What's your current fandom love(s) and/or ship(s)?

This is an easy one. Sherlock. The show is amazing. The visuals are amazing. The acting is amazing. The writing is amazing. The fanfic is - um -

Well, as with everything, Sturgeon's Law applies to the fic - 90% of it is crap. Probably more, honestly.  But there are gems. (Ask for recs if you want 'em)

(Totally off topic, but Wikipedia tells me Theodore Sturgeon, for whom the law is named, was born Edward Hamilton Waldo. I wonder if he finished a piece of writing, decided he needed something to eat and a pseudonym, and in a eureka moment during a bizarre snack break, exclaimed "This caviar is a gift from God!  Hey! I know..."

Probably not.

I also watch Sleepy Hollow (as mentioned yesterday).  It has big names and a lot of money behind it, and was the first thing renewed this season.  It's also just like a train wreck on the deck of the Titanic as seen from the gondola of the Hindenburg. But I can't look away.  Not while Tom Mison is that pretty.

I'm taking a poll: Sooooo how spooky is Sleepy Hollow? I gave it a pass because I do not like horror-type stuff but the relationship stuff I'm hearing about with Abbie & Ichabod (names gleaned via fannish osmosis) intrigues me, as does Abbie as a character.

Is it like, say Supernatural icky spooky or XF implied spooky?

Oh. Spooky? Not very. Somewhere between the two? It varies from ep to ep, a bit. Not bloody too much either, or gory. There's a headless horseman, but he's well-dressed and not spurting blood or anything. It's just, um, awful. I mean terrible. The throw-away lines are the best part of it. And while Ichabod and Abby (Ichabby! It's a thing!) both well acted, the writing is bonkers. But there is definite chemistry there, even though he's a good foot taller than she is (where have we seen that before? Hmmmm...)

*L* I'm okay with a height difference. I'm also okay with bonkers writing and plotting if it's entertaining. I was just worried about gore and disturbing stuff.

Just watch - now that I have declared it "mostly harmless" the next episode will be a Peckinpaw-style mess.
