Date: 2010-09-18 11:00 pm (UTC)I think it was more me than Moore. I was expecting something more faithful to Shakespeare's Lear. Maybe if he'd written a totally originally story from the Fool's perspective rather than hinging it on Lear, I would've felt better about the book. It was engaging and amusing enough for me to finish it though.
