Anyone listening to Serial? Real life murder mystery. I'm working my way through it. It's fascinating.
--------------------------------------------
Stocking stuffers for adults (as opposed to Adult Stocking Stuffers, which, um, no) - Anyone got any awesome ideas? I'm making jars of Epic Hot Chocolate (correctly named) but I could use some other ideas - whatcha got?

Cookies are done - gotta go!

Date: 2014-12-17 09:25 am (UTC)I like the looks of Epic Hot Chocolate - but where does a Yank get her hands on some Horlicks? The only equivalent I can think of here is Ovaltine, but it's already chocolate flavored.

Date: 2014-12-17 01:04 pm (UTC)Ovaltine would work. It would just make it a little more chocolate-y. That would certainly be tragic.

Date: 2014-12-17 01:27 pm (UTC)I'm rubbish at Xmas present ideas, i usually default to chocolate.
I haven't seen that hot chocolate recipe before, i love Jamie Oliver, he always does a great Christmas themed TV special over here on the run up to Xmas. I want Xmas at his house!

Yeah, me too. Sigh.

Jamie's Xmas specials are so much fun, and the food is good. (This recipe was one from I think last year or maybe the one before - he made a giant waffle over the fire, sat on a fake-snow covered bale of hay, as you do.) Jamie taught me how to make THE BEST TURKEY and dozens of other things. He's good.

Date: 2014-12-17 04:37 pm (UTC)Oh dear.
Google tells me he is a character from the X-files...
Indeed he is. He lost an arm in, um, not the nicest way. I made these once for a fan get-together at Xmas (Xmas - Xfiles - get it? GET IT??) and they were a hit. Thus was a tradition born.

My friend works for a big book seller he and he got me a hand signed copy! (like, not one of the 20,000,000 he signs ahead of time - one he got JO to sign at the book launch lunch! NICE!) And yes, it all looks so good.
